Sometimes it disappears by itself, sometimes it freezes and I had to do the REISUB command to restart my laptop. Then, I found that after several minutes my screen showed blue and green blinking glitch. The brightness and suspend issue solved, but. Then, I found that couldn't control the brightness and the laptop couldn't wake up from suspend, then I upgraded the Kernel from 5.15 to 6.2. So I just kept using the nouveau driver until now. By using the 470, I can log in, but I'm having an issue with the wifi and the fan sometimes spinning like crazy. I tried several other nvidia driver versions like 525, 515, and 470. Then I uninstalled the driver using Ctrl+Alt+F2 and I can log in again to Linux Mint. After reboot, I could not log in to Linux Mint. When I first installed a fresh Linux Mint 21.2 Cinnamon, I continued upgrading the packages and installed nvidia-driver-535. ![]() But I'm having several issues, I solved one, and another issue showed up. This year, I'm interested to try Linux Mint for the first time for my new laptop.Ĭurrently, I'm using dual-boot Windows 11 and Linux Mint. I have been using dual boot Windows for gaming and Ubuntu for work (I'm a software engineer) since several years ago. ![]()
